Sensorial Garden: Elina Cutting

Isolate a 6-7cm triangle in the fringe area with the tips in line with the ends of the eyebrows.

Trace a rear diagonal on both sides reaching the occipital area, gaining momentum as it gets closer to the back. In the lower area, subdivide the hair vertically in line with the ears on both sides.

Subdivide the hair centrally at the top of the head creating right and left sections. Isolate both sections.

Trace a vertical section at the centre of the nape area and project the hair 45°. Cut and create a graduated shape in the whole area using the traveling guide strand.

Connect the sides to the previous shape. Create a layered shape in the crown area, keeping the length of the perimeter.

Keep using the traveling guide strand over the entire area.

Take a central section in the inner area to create a longer disconnection that’s approximately 1cm longer than the previously cut graduated shape. Use a razor, using the blade parallel to the surface of the section, keeping a medium length.

Follow on towards the front in the same way with sunburst separations, completing the entire section.

Separate the fringe area centrally and take a section, using the length of a previously cut section as a reference. Project 90°. Cut using a razor, keeping the blade parallel to the section.

Continue with sunburst separations, using even layers in the technique to complete the fringe area.

Before drying the line, check the nature of the hair and its movement and textures to enhance the cut with styling. Apply milk_shake® texturizing spritz. Dry the hair, shaping it with the hands, creating creative and unusual movement. It’s important to define the texture at this stage, as well as the direction and volume in the correct areas of the head. Apply milk_shake® design wax to define the lengths. Apply milk_shake® let it shine to give the hair shine.

Check the result of the cut. A Denman brush is recommended to create a more tailored look.
